A Visit to Turlough House
Just before Easter we paid a visit to Turlough House.  We travelled there by bus.  This was very exciting.  The museum was so interesting.  We saw what life was like long ago; what a classroom looked like, what shopping was like, how people fished and farmed and how they dressed.  We even tried on some of the clothes.
We were so lucky that day as the Easter Bunny was also on site and left some treats for us.  Following this lovely surprise, we walked around the grounds admiring the beautiful trees and flowers.
The Perfect Day! Check us out in the photos below.  Don't we look so cool!

We wrote a book!

Following our visit to Turlough House, we wrote a book about our adventure. We even did our own illustrations!

Teddy Bears' Picnic

We had a lovely treat the day we got our Easter holidays.  We all brought in our favourite teddy and treated them to a picnic.  We all sat around, sang songs, chatted and enjoyed the goodies.  I think we ate more than our teddies. What a great start to the Easter Hols! Hurray..

Seachtain na Gaeilge

We celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge in our school this week. Some of the boys from the Senior Classes came to visit and played for us some lovely Irish songs. We heard the banjo, the guitar and the button accordion. All week we tried our very best to speak Irish. We also took part in a colouring competition and Ethan McHugh was the lucky winner. Well done Ethan!

An Taoiseach's visit to our school

Last Friday we had a very special visitor to our school- The Taoiseach Mr Enda Kenny. The Taoiseach was here to present a very special award to our school as we have become a digital school of distinction. We were all very excited to see him but we were more excited to see his car...Wow....look as us with that Mercedes!

At the Restaurant

This week we have been dining out at the Restaurant. We have been taking turns to act in role as guests, waiters, chefs and managers. It was fun learning how to take an order, set the table and most importantly cook some delicious dinners. We also learned how to help our guests with any problems that they had. We also read the story "The very hungry caterpillar" and got to make a beautiful display for our wall. It was lots of fun and we hope you enjoy looking at our photos here below.
